Because, I promise you, he has no such intention.

You know that a "wall" and greater enforcement at the border has been authorized for many years right? In fact, Hillary voted for it.

There will be a more substantial "wall" in one or mutliple forms or another. Physical barriers, technological barriers, much greater enforcement, etc.

Maybe a few hundred miles as a token. The idea is absurd. I dont even think his followers believe in a wall.

Some of them believe the world is 6000 years old!

There's already 650 miles of fence/wall, vehicle barriers, and personnel barriers. 1,300 miles has been approved. In the San Diego area it's virtually ended crossings and pushed it eastward where there isn't any.

Oh, forgot to mention that about 325 miles of that was done by Bill Clinton starting in the mid-90s.

Forget the wall, waste of time and money. Just put a $1,000 bounty on the head of every illegal, no questions asked. They'll be shipped back inside of a year and cost only $10 billion to get rid of... far less than what we're spending on overcrowded schools, ESL programs, criminal justice, welfare, food stamps, and free health care on them.

Exactly what I was about to educate this idiot on. One thing we've learned about libtards this election year is they don't deal in facts, just emotions.

Too many business interests need the illegal labor pool. No president could affect that even if he wanted to. And Trump certainly doesn't.

I love these deplorables who think Trump will do anything about illegals.

Deplorable. Exactly. These guys are a joke. And so is this totally unqualified, unprepared reality show coke head. We all know Pence will be running the show. He'll be too busy fixing the gays.

Watch and learn.

You're probably too young to remember but before W. Bush we weren't nearly as easy on that stuff. Go back and listen to some of Bill Clinton's speeches about illegal immigration. He said the same things that Trump's been saying.

The wide open door, sanctuary cities, and all is coming to an end. Won't stop it compeltely but we can put a big dent in it.

But my question is, wouldn't Trump be just as susceptible to whatever pressures made W. Bush look the other way?

Bush was on the other side to a large extent as far as all that went. Even then he was strong on keeping illegals out to begin with. Where he fell down was on yet another effective amnesty for those here. His approach to providing workers was via a temporary worker program.

With Trump now securing the border and deporting criminal aliens will move to job #1. That's been the position of the Republicans so he won't have any problem from the majority. The Dem position was to try to lump everything into some mythical "comprehensive immigration reform" which was code for do nothing but use it for political purposes as a lever point for Hispanics. That's done now. Border first, everything else will follow that.

One nice thing about Trump is that he's not tied to the Chamber or any other groups and has nobody to pay back and doesn't have to worry about a lot of those pressures.
