The feedback I am hearing is that Clinton won the debate. The only people saying Trump won were Trump supporters, and even some of them say Clinton won. Winning the debate though isn't the goal. It is convincing people to vote for you. So far I haven't come across a Trump supporter who is now saying they won't vote for Trump, and I haven't come across an undecided voter who was convinced by the debate to vote for Clinton. If you use that standard, then the OP is arguably correct.
