You have got to be kidding. This is insulting on so many levels. First, women are not a monolith - we don't automatically support someone just because she's a woman. Second, Conway can stand on her merits; I really don't like her, but she's no Sarah Palin. This was not exactly an affirmative action hire, and it is patronizing to imply that it was. If you're a conservative Republican, this was a good move. But I think Trump will throw her overboard if she tries to get him to change.

On the other hand, Steve Bannon is the guy who turned his back on his female reporter when she was man-handled by Corey Lewandowski. That did not endear him to women, or to most sentient human beings. The reason Bannon was hired was to stroke Trump's ego and to give a big middle finger to the establishment right wingers. This was not a good move.

In the end, Trump will continue to be his old ignorant, bombastic, racist, misogynistic self - and he will lose because of it.
