Sigh.....Why is this so hard to understand?

This country is mostly Christian. No other religion even comes close and therefore don't affect national policies. Christians aren't dangerous in a violence aspect anymore (secular laws reigned them in), but they do get perks (tax free and the freedom to discriminate against whoever they choose) and they fight for public schools to teach our children that the world is based on myths and fairytales. These kids eventually become adults like Ted Cruz and other right wing religious nuts who can get positions on science committees and slow or stop human progress.

I see and hear liberals bashing Islam all the time. You just choose to close your ears and eyes because there doesn't appear to be equality in the disdain. I dislike Islam as much or more than you probably do, but I just have a different view of curing it. You probably think, as most right-wingers do, that you can somehow bomb and kill away Islam or ban it. Islam (and all religions) is just another myth that only time and knowledge can cure.

If every child in the world born from this day forward, would learn proper history,math and science, in 25 years the world would be rid of 90% of religion. It will never disappear completely, but enough to where no one will eventually give a shit.
