Make it a Jiffy Poop, don't stress about it until it's almost time to put it on target. Like the above poster, I drop right as my ass gets comfortable on the seat, within 30 seconds.

At home it only takes the time required to drop trou, sit down, and expel the log. Less than 10 seconds usually. Anywhere else it can take 5 to 7 minutes to build a bird's nest on the seat at least 3 layers thick with 6 layers of overhang on the front 1/3 of the toilet. If high-altitude bombing is called for, that has its own complications of splash prevention.
