Can I date a high schooler even if I'm starting college in September?
Posted by: Senior girl 2k16 ()

I'm a senior (girl) in high school in Fairfax County. I have been dating a sophomore boy. We have a lot in common and I think we both love each other a lot though we've never used that word.

Next fall, I'm planning on going to college (not Nova), but I won't be too far away. I think my boyfriend has more interest in the military than college, but he's very serious and mature for his age. I know college will be a chance for me to meet new people and I don't want to limit my chances, but if I'm still interested in dating him, would it be "proper"?

I was already hesitant about dating him because he was younger, although I knew if the situation was reversed it wouldn't be a problem. Assuming everything still works out between us, is it OK for a college girl to date a high school boy? I'm not sure how to handle this.

You will find somebody better at college. That's just the way it goes.

That's part of what is upsetting me. I know I'll probably meet someone at college but this boy in our school is special to me too.

Are you obese?

You seem desperate to hang on to your child love toy.

It's fine unless you have sex with him and he's still underage. Seems silly, but statutory rape will make you a sex offender.

Think before you do.

No. I'm fit. I wouldn't say athletic, but definitely not fat.

Why do you say that? I'm not a plumper or whatever. I'm not fat. I just don't have muscles and veins everywhere like some of the sports girls at school.

Being a plumper is not all bad - You will attract a certain type of man.

When you get knocked up by Baby Daddy make sure you don't put his name on the birth certificate so you can get ALL of the welfare benefits.

You wont remember his name by Christmas. Go enjoy yourself. A high school kid will be an anchor to your development.

He's too young for you. Find a guy your own age and let this kid enjoy being in HS.

If she's graduating this June, she's most likely 18. Besides, a pic would immediately resolve the issue of whether she's a pig or not. So, either post a pic or this is a troll thread!

You will do time if his parents get a wild hair and start to not like you and want to get you out of the picture. Happens all the times to boys. Now that feminism is strong girl are getting the same treatment. You see all the female teachers that got locked up last year.

Talk it over with him between now and next August when you head off to school. "Long distance" relationships work for some, not for others. Maybe date when you're back on break, but free to date others (both of you) when you're away at school. IMO, you're both too young to get tied down to one person. You should both be free to enjoy college (you) and his last two years of h.s.

If anyone tries to get you in trouble over it, claim you identify as someone his age.

They can't touch you.

Her advice was you're going to college, enjoy that.

You will make it to Holloween till you hook up with some guy in College. Thats when the parties really kick in. You will have had time to establish a social group and so will your new guy. The letters to your home interest here in Fairfax will taper off.

Have fun, use condoms try to make College more than just drinking camp if you can. If not have fun anyway and stay away from the jocks they are just feasting on the Freshman...

the troll that is saying you’re a plumper is just trying to get you to prove you’re not - post a picture - don’t fall for him or any other guy’s bull shit. Be your own safe keeper.

also, if you’re 18 and he’s not, i think that would constitute sexual predator. his parents could have you arrested and you would be labeled and publicly humiliated for life. sounds like a good reason to break it off. “Nothing personal, Johnny. You understand, don’t you?” remember: you can’t have your cake and eat it too. transition is hard especially just before it comes unto fruition (you start school). Damn! i didn’t know i had such good advice. it must be a sign of my increasing seniority. hmmm. i thought i was still the baby.

Oh man, this is so true. Brings back great memories of JMU. After me and my group got thru freshman year, we had a party the first weekend of school called the "Fuck A Freshman Party". We got the student register, which had pictures of all the freshmen, and we would send out anonymous invites to all the hotties to our party. No info other than where and when.

You would be amazed how many hot babes showed up just craving some attention from upper classmen. And of course none of them could hold their booze so it ended up just drunk and horny freshman babes all over the place. I was so impressed with one of my "scores" I ended up dating her for an entire semester (long time for me back then). That girl could suck a bowling ball thru a garden hose!

You could but that will get old fast. You'll both likely get busy and distracted by school and other people. Doesn't hurt to give it a try, just keep your expectations realistic, be safe and have fun.

I went through this on the high school (younger) side. Best thing is to agree to have a nice summer together and part on a good note. Whatever nice thing the two of you have will be wrecked by long distance issues, suspicion and jealousy. Been there. Much better idea to know ahead of time you'll part ways when you're off to school.
