Scarborough Gives Reminder of Elizabeth Warren’s Hypocrisy Over Housing Market

BY: Jack Heretik
May 25, 2016 11:01 am

Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, reminded the show’s panel of Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D., Mass.) hypocrisy after she attacked Donald Trump for his comments on the housing market.

After a clip of Donald Trump from before the recession surfaced, in which he hoped for trouble in the housing market for business purposes, Warren attacked Trump for his comments, calling him, “a small, insecure moneygrubber.” Warren, too, has made money on the housing market. After playing a clip of Warren criticizing Trump, Scarborough reminded everyone of an article.

“Just a headline, though, from National Review, May 27, 2015,” he said. “Because I heard this and we all heard this, and so, headline: ‘Elizabeth Warren Bought Foreclosed Homes to Make a Quick Profit.’ May 27, 2015, ‘before the crash that she blamed on speculators, Sen. Elizabeth Warren made a bundle by flipping houses.’”

The panel went on to discuss Trump’s business moves in real estate.

The article by the National Review says that while Warren condemns the practice of flipping homes, she has made a considerable amount of her wealth by flipping homes, including a couple that had fallen into foreclosure.

It really takes a true libtard to criticize someone for buying low and selling high.

funny thing about hillary, she wants to blame this stuff on Trump, but it was Bill's policies that led directly to the sub-prime crisis and giving mortgages to people who couldn't afford them. thats the guy she wants to put in charge of the economy in her administration, so he can once again help people like the Donald get rich off of bad decisions by middle class and poor people.

I clearly remember George W. Bush taking credit for homeownership as his only accomplishment worth pointing to before it ruined the entire economy in the eighth year of his presidency. You should tell your presidents not to take credit for things that fall apart and may need to blame on Clinton 16 years later.

It was Clinton who signed legislation reversing financial regulations, leading to Credit Default Swaps, Mortgage backed securities, and other ponzi schemes that created the housing bubble. The feds enforcement of CRA also forced banks to loan to less credit worthy applicants.

But let's blame Bush, despite the aforementioned facts.

I don't know who the fuck this was but he was president and making a speech taking credit for his "Home of your own" initiative before its collapse as his token presidential accomplishment. Oh that's right, thats the loser the last time the country was stupid enough to vote a Republican into the white house.

"Home of your own" said President George W. Bush. Had a ring to it. Great background and press event.

I remember the CRA. One of it's most vocal supporters was a group called ACORN.

I think you motherfuckers need to watch that youtube video. Hes talking about legislation hes pushing that will use tax payer money to cover down payments. He names freddie and fannie by name as how he has told them to increase commitments to minority markets. Hes talking about what would eventually become sub prime loans of course. You should really what George W. Bush in that one. It's breathtaking.

See the thing is, for some reason, anything Republicans touch turns to shit. Whether it be New Jersey, Louisiana or Kansas or the United States. It turns to shit.

Yes, that she actually took advantage of others is worse than someone speaking hypothetically.

You want to know why everything Republicans touch turns to shit? Because corporations and private industry think they can get away with criminality during Republican administrations. They can sell sub prime loans and bundle and insure them and make a killing or drive up the price of oil and nobody is going to do anything about it.

And of course these things have consequences for the economy.

Lizzie "Wampum" Warren did something about it...

She took advantage of the situation to become a millionaire while building a political career ranting about millionaires taking advantage.

I wasn't aware Trump was involved in politics during the housing crisis. You only give a shit now since he is running for president. If he wasn't, you'd still not give a shit.

Go back to smoking cock you libtard.

She is clearly thinking the thought that Trump was saying. She profited off the down on their luck families, she is a true hypocrite in that regard. Don't try to make a "it different in her circumstance" argument. They are both members of the same hypocrisy as Michael Coleone would say

This thread is so ridiculous it's hard to read without laughing. Especially after reading the comments about Trump by Elizabeth Warren. How clueless can you be? Any smart investor takes advantage of a depressed market. Whether it's Real Estate or Stocks. I bought 2 houses in 2007 because I got a screaming deal on forclosures. I didn't cause the problem but I damn sure was happy to take advantage of it.
