East Coast vs. West Coast

Anyone hear the phrase "You're so east coast"?

Is the west coast that much different or better? For some reason there are a lot of Californians that have a condescending view of the rest of the country.

I think Californians (or up until a few years ago) have had a pretty laissez-faire view on life. You got surf, warm weather, and good food. Who would care about being formalistic (the South) or miserable (the Northeast).

If a Californian gives you trouble trouble, just tell them they can continue to "lay back" on the comfortable pile of IOU's they got for a tax return instead of the money you got. Tell them is a surf board sale at a shop down the street and ask the Californian if they take CA IOU's.
