As I said if you knew anything about cigars....
Although Cuba has very rich tobacco growing soil, and can produce some excellent cigars, there are often quality control problems, and sometime their cigars are rolled too tightly, or are not properly aged, primarily because there is usually a rush to get this much-in-demand product to market.
The Dominican is home to some of the best, and oldest cigars brands on the planet thanks to the consistent, tropical climate that’s ideal for growing tobacco. For years, if you asked an enthusiast which country produced the best cigars, chances are they would say the Dominican. The first popular location for producing cigars outside of Cuba, brands like La Aurora, Macanudo, Arturo Fuente, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, and a slew of others, continue to flourish here. And chances are, the first cigar you enjoyed came from this cigar hotspot. There’s no doubt the Dominican makes some of the best mild-bodied cigars around. But be on the lookout, because the Dominican has been pumping out some excellent higher-octane blends too.
Each year, Cigar Aficionado, the leading industry magazine, publishes a list of the top 25 cigars in the world. Last year, the number one cigar was the Montecristo no. 2, which is made in Cuba. But only two of the remaining 24 also came from the country.
By contrast, 11 were from the Dominican Republic, and 10 were made in Nicaragua.
Now there are countless internationally acclaimed cigar makers not only in the Dominican Republic, but also in Nicaragua and Honduras. And they more than compete with the quality of the cigars being produced in Cuba—they often surpass it.
The real problem with Cuban cigars today is inconsistency within individual boxes. For unclear reasons, boxes tend to come with duds, or sub-par cigars, and sometimes many.
Upon taking the call, Bill Shindler, general manager at Rich's Cigar Store in Portland, Ore said "Cuban cigars really just aren't as consistent as they used to be. That's a big deal." He's been working in the tobacco industry for nearly 40 years.
Not to mention the ongoing problem with counterfeits. The character you're playing here is too stupid to spot a counterfeit, as is his make-believe rich uncle or anyone else stupid enough to allow your make-believe gay character obsessing over boys drinking his urine to stay with him, unless there were miles of Cuban dick being sucked. I bet your pimp doesn't even let you keep the money.
On another matter, I checked with a friend on the Miami police force and there's been no report of a Ferrari being keyed, and before you get started that includes Miami-Dade. Insurance would require a police report.
