Ok so I feel like absolute shit right now. Like I'm destroyed this is worse than dying. I'm still shaking and trying to focus with the tears in my eyes. So here's what happened. The wife decided to take a trip with her friends for a weekend getaway so I decided at first that I was just going to watch the game and maybe head out to Applebees or TGIF for some beers and food. I got that itch to drive up to Maryland Live on a Friday night. I withdrew $400 and hit the tables. Within 2 hours it was gone. So I had a few more beers at the bar and thought to myself that Atlantic City would be a great idea. I mean if the wife could go on a nice getaway so could I right? Made the half drunk drive up there and checked into the Tropicana on a Friday night. I withdrew another $600 trying to recover from my luck. I played five hands of blackjack at $100 a hand. I actually won my money back! So I thought I was on a winning streak. Was up by $1650 and then hit the roulette table trying to double it on red. Double-fucking-zeroes!!!! I was so pissed and crushed. I was going to use that money to pay for my trip and to buy something nice for the wife for Christmas along with the rest of the family. So I conceived this great idea to withdraw all of my money from Capital One. I've been saving this money forever in my savings $45,154. So much I could use it for. Without even batting an eye temptation got the best of me and before I knew I was filling out the treasury form to withdraw all of my money. It looked I was robbing the place. Guards were just stacking cash into my duffle bag. Now on to the Casino. Not going to bore you with all of the games but I must've played almost all of them. Let it Ride, Mississippi stud, black jack, roulette, slots, 3 card, 21+3, hell I even played war. I lost $10,000 at Borgota, $5,000 at Caesar's, $10,000 at the Taj, Bally's took me for $15,000!!! So I was back at the Tropicana down to my last $5,154. I played $150 on black jack just to test the waters and see if Lady Luck was on my side. I was still drunk trying to numb the losses and still hypnotized by all of the sounds. I busted...There I was back at roulette dreaming of how I could play all of the colors in my favor. Black, black, red, black, and then red. I could turn my last $5,000 into $160,000!!!!!!!!I mean movies are made about this stuff so I thought it could happen. I hit black!!!! I had $10,000 again. Hit black again $20,000!!!! By this time there were crowds around me cheering me on even the casino staff were interested and ready to offer me comps. So I thanked God swore I would never gamble again and placed it on red. My heart sank as soon as I saw black. The crowds walked away along with the casino staff and there I was broke! I thought that I could take home at least $60,000 I mean Atlantic City is in trouble so they need to keep customers happy somehow by letting them win. I barely made it home. I had to overdraft a debit card just to buy gas. Guys I am broke and panicking! Worst of all I haven't even told me wife even though she can tell that I am distraught and there is something on my mind. Guy's I can't stop crying I'm worried that I will never see this money again and that my wife will leave me forever. What do I do?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I know I feel so stupid like such a retard for what I did. So much I could've spent that money on. It took me years to earn that money. I mean years. Now I'm thinking that I have to sell my car which should get me $20,000 and maybe some other things like my grandmother's jewelry which was passed down to me or at the very last resort ask my father for a loan. But that would imply that I needed to tell him and he would surely get pissed off at me and possibly cut me off. I told my wife what happened over the phone about 30 minutes ago. I told her I was sick and didn't go to work today. Well I am sick because of all that money I lost. She started crying too and hung up the phone. I'm so scared that she is going to leave me. Can I possibly call the casinos back and demand at least part of my money back? I heard that casinos have to give you 91% of your losses. I mean if I sell the car for $20,000 is there a professional gambler I could hire to retrieve my lost funds? Like who could coach me and help me win my money back and maybe some more? Too late I already told her. She took off work and drove home after she hung up on me full of tears. She came home still crying and started calling me idiot, stupid, fucking moron, and how we were going to survive. It gets worse, apparently she cheated on me while with the girls on vacation so now I have this to deal with. I'm afraid that she is going to leave me now. I too am a recovering compulsive gambler, I might have reached 45K over a 10 year 10 tenure, currently 14K in debt because of gambling but you have to fight and move on in life. It's really the only thing you can do. Even though its difficult, you have to sit there and pretend you never really had 45K and start from square one.

Do not try to win it back, it only revives the pain when you take another loss.

You can set up a GoFundMe account, but I doubt people feel bad for gamblers because they always cause the harm to themselves. I have set one up but took it down cause I felt to guilty to beg.
