bridge burning in Iowa

Uh-oh. So I guess Trump had a rally and very long speech in Iowa last night. His raging ego and temper has concerned me anyway, but the non stop insults of the other candidates is really uncalled for.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/11/13/donald-trump-begs-iowans-not-to-believe-ben-carson-dont-be-fools-okay/?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_trumprant550am%3Ahomepage%2Fstory

So I get that Trump&Fiorina don't exactly agree on everything or get along well(I recall that he had previously insulted her this year, too.) But I was sorta hoping that at some point, they could make peace. You see, I think playing the "woman card" by choosing Fiorina as his running mate for vice president might just be the best chance to beat Hilliary. Make NO mistake about it, WE ARE DOOMED IF MRS. CLINTON BECOMES PRESIDENT! And although I may not agree with everything that Dr. Carson says, he seems genuinely sincere, which counts for something.

So let me ask Y'all something. If Mr. Trump still manages to secure the nomination to run for president, who would he choose as his running mate? It seems he has now insulted every last one of the other repub candidates repeatedly..

I haven't really made up my mind 100% on whom I might support in their candidacy, but I DO know for certain, that I CANNOT get behind ANYBODY with the last name of Bush or Clinton. Oh, hell fuckin NO.

Your thoughts please?
Who will make America great again??

So if one doesn't care for hilliary or boosh and feels like they shouldn't be president, the poster who expresses that is automatically a racist? Ha. Not likely. Short sighted much?

Doomed? Right. Just like you were doomed with Obama, and just like you were doomed with the other Clinton. Y'all are suckers for fearmongering, I gotta hand it to ya.

This isn't about obama.Plenty of people voted for him,(enough to be elected twice) that were later dissatisfied with his policies & leadership style. That does not make one racist, to disagree with a black president. We are in fact doomed if another bush or clinton gets to occupy the white house come 2017. To have that opinion is not being a fear monger. Hilary&Jeb feel ENTITLED to the office of presidency, and it will NOT benefit the people of our country, only their billionaire buddies and foreign interests. It just is what it is.
No, on the contrary, the fear mongers would be whoever it is that says, about the time of the presidential election year, that the current prez is going to declare martial law, suspended election to stay in power, etc, bla bla. I heard this about BOTH dubya and bama. But that is the definition of fear mongering, somebody cultivating fear. To have an opinion that upsets the standard blue/red paradigm is not fear. But those who are hardcore supporters of the donkey or elephant DO fear open minded folks like myself that tend to vote for whoever seems like the right person for the job, nevermind the party.

His approval ratings are pretty average for a second term President. So thinking that everyone is dissatisfied with Obama is a false conclusion.

National Debt 2000 = $5.659 Trillion

National Debt 2008 = $10.011 Trillion

National Debt 2016 (projected) = $20.87 Trillion

Doubling our debt every 8 years. It's the Millennials who aren't going to take it in the ass. And believe me, I'm OK with that. Within the next 20 years, this thing is going to implode. Buy real estate and pray the neocoms don't nationalize private property (sadly, they usually do tho).

So you are deciding between going republican or democrat?

And not who you like in the respective party?

So does that mean you really have no political leanings, but rather are focused on the leader?

Interesting, if so.

What is a Neocom? Neocommunist? Neocomicbook collector?

When has private property been nationalized in the U.S. (except in the event of national emergency/war and eminent domain)?

"Sadly, they usually do"...when?

I lean toward the middle. I'm purple. I've literally voted on both sides before. Depending on who seems like the right person for the job and where they stand on issues. I like and loathe things from both sides. Yeah, that probably does scare those who are seriously red or blue for life.

Doesn't scare me at all.

I firmly believe that different circumstances call for different approaches. The world is constantly changing.

Simply put, just because a football team is a passing team does that mean they need to drop back and throw 4 passes in a row when they are leading a game with 30 seconds left and the other team has no time-outs.

Isolationism? Sure...can work...or not. We were gonna stay the f out of WWII until somebody forced our hand. A famous marine general from the turn of the century wanted it to be law that we would commit no troops beyond 5 miles of our shores.

Great idea until ships, planes, ICBM's. Global and cyber terrorism.

Too many people want to jam the world into their way (and their parties' way) of thinking...instead of asking where is the world now, and what works best?

Run, or throw?

neocom = neocommunist. It is the ying to the neocon yang.

I didn't say in the US. However, there have been several attempts to nationalize industries in the US. Radio communications, the railroad, oil & gas and, most recently, the banking industry and the recession of 2008.

Venezuela, Cuba, China, most of the former-USSR, Vietnam and Nicaragua are all places where private property rights have been revoked or heavily restricted under neocom/statist rule. The US has fallen behind Canada, the UK and Germany on individual private property rights. That should be troubling to any liberty-loving person in this country.

Could we be on our way to that? Property taxes on land(so you can never truly just own your property) and zoning restrictions to say what can be built and where ?? Hmmm.

No argument there. Most of them are batshit crazy, but Trump goes too far.

Do you really think women will vote for ANY woman? That's really patronizing. I wouldn't vote for Fiorina if my life depended on it.

Oh, please.

No, not really - especially since he seems to be a serial liar. I don't need a President who's 'sincere'; I need a President who's competent to be President. Carson is a kook.

I'm not particularly excited about Hillary, but she is infinitely better than any of the sorry lineup of Republican candidates.

So count the real cost of the war to the 2008 figure and it looks like the debt doubled under Bush as well

maybe time for a new approach...
