Only thing that works is cell phone using data. What is going on?

The default (suggested really) TTL for an A record is something like seven days. So expect things to be broken for about a week after the change/migration.

Usually, one asks the DNS provider to lower the TTL to something low (like a few hours or so). I gather Cary perhaps didn't have the time to do this.

You're confused. Library probably has this site blocked. There is no problem with FXU. Anyone giving you a bunch of blah blah tech talk is pulling your leg (not literally).

So in plain English there wasn't enough time to set this up properly to avoid a total cluster fart

What cluster fuck? I'm not having a problem. Just certain people (Jews, Negroes and spics) are not allowed in anymore.

COX DNS was not resolving this site at all. No ping, no lookup, no tracert, etc. Flushed DNS cache, rebooted modem/router, still no luck.

Switched my router to use one of the Google DNS (8.8.4.4 or 8.8.8.8) and it resolved fine. In fact it is working a bit faster than it normally does on all sites now.

Switched back to use COX DNS and no FU luck again.

Verizon and AT&T cellular resolve it fine.

FU Cox?

Sounds like Cox has a broken DNS server somewhere. It fell out of the DNS cache on their server but for some reason Cox is still thinking the old server is authoritative and the old DNS server is saying "I have no fucking idea".

Good luck convincing Cox that.

Nobody at the public library needs to be posting on this site. Public libraries these days are like mini-homeless shelters.

Internet connection problems modem can be frustrating. You must check the physical connections before Maybe you accidentally kicked the modem’s or router or pulled or power cable an cable (Ethernet) out of a socket, causing the new problem. You must open a Command Prompt window and run a command like ping windows.com or ping yahoo.com. Everything is working fine – there’s 0 percent. When the modem is not working one, two, three days i bought new modem router combo here JONSGUIDE. If you have problems with a variety of web-sites, they may be caused by your router or modem.
