Police say gunfire broke out at a backyard party in Brooklyn overnight, injuring nine people.

Sgt. Daniel Doody of the New York Police Department says the shooting happened at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday in the East New York section after an argument. He says nine people were taken to hospitals with gunshot wounds, but all their injuries are not life-threatening. He says four others were taken to hospitals with cuts and bruises from the melee.

East new york is the eastern section of brooklyn...arguably one of the worst areas if not The worst.

PARTS of northwest brooklyn are becoming heavily gentrified and are unrecognizable compared to ten years ago...i.e. williamsburg.

The southwest area has always been the nicest section and has a historically heavy italian presence...bensonhurst, bay ridge, sunset, etc.

This story has to be bogus because NYC has the strictest gun laws in the country.

Brooklyn is an area bigger than DC with quadruple the population, of course there are going to be bad areas.

Bed-Stuy is in Brooklyn. Enough said.

The nice part of NY is apparently here as so many people from there would rather live here. They don't even bother changing the plates.

No, Illinois is still worse when it comes to gun laws.
