An openly gay boy at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, CA is voted prom queen. Didn't we have some guy pull the same thing at GMU a few months ago? Man, there must be something weird about places named Fairfax.

The students are the ones that do the voting and they picked the person they wanted. It seems he elected, fair and square.

Sperm can be bought, or donated by a friend, so it is not hard for a homosexual couple to procreate. It's harder for the men because they have to adopt or find a surrogate.

I think homosexuality is genetic; I don't think anyone wakes up one morning and says they want to be gay. As far as being flamboyent, I think all that is for attention.
I eat at Kramerbooks and Afterwords in Dupont Circle a lot, and I don't understand how "the locals" develop lispy voices, feminine mannerisms, and walk around like the world fucking owes them something.
As far as that rainbow flag gay pride, its all shit. They act like being gay is an accomplishment and the world should roll out the red carpet for them.

I agree that it is one aspect of who someone is, but it is nice to have gay friendly places. Lets take the most obvoious of venues -- bars. I mean, if you go to Ned Devines and see a woman you're interested in, you can go for it because it's very likely she is straight. Now imagine yourself in a lesbian bar. There might be a couple of straight chicks in the place, but you're going to strike out 99.9% of the time. Not saying that bars are really a great place to meet mates, but I'm sure you understand my point. Having a sense of community is not a bad thing. There are obviously extremists in any community, but they do not define the community as a whole.
