Anybody seen those stupid commercials for Red Stripe beer?

Anybody had a Red Stripe beer? Good or bad?

Good but not life-changing. I love the commercials, they're hilarious. Worth a try, but it's pretty much just another beer.

It's a big marketing ploy. Red Stripe is very remininscent of macro-brews like Bud, Michelob, etc. There's not much difference. I'm not saying it's bad. It's just beer.

To keep this thread from getting booted over to the non-topic forum, has anyone been on the Old Dominion tour? I think Old Dominion has some of the better regional brews on the East Coast and would like to visit the place- anyone know if it's worth going to?

Yes. Funny. Great way to get 14 year-olds to try to buy Red Stripe instead of Bud when they try to pass that fake ID.

Yes.

Good or bad?

Good, but not fantastic. A really good Caribbean beer is Presidente from the Dominican Republic, but I haven't found it here. Much better, though.

Norm's Beer and Wine in Danor Plaza, Vienna can probably accomodate that. It's a small store, but the staff are really knowledgeable and can order special items. Ordering beer from the Dominican Republic shouldn't be too hard.
