Tysons Toll Plaza is fucked up

I don't have a Speedpass because I don't use the toll road often since they raised the tolls and it's $3.50 just to drive few miles to my east, but I was in a hurry so I took it today. When I entered the toll road I paid and got my change in all coins so I would have exact change ready for the Tysons toll plaza. The transaction took about 10 seconds.

The Tysons plaza was a mess. They changed the exact-change lane to a Speedpass lane, so now it's that and 2 full serve lanes. They moved incredibly slow and it took me over 10 minutes to get through. How is this possible? Are the attendants incompetent at their jobs, or are the other drivers holding things up?

This was on a Sunday. What happens during rush hour, does it take an hour or two to get through?

They make more money with the speedpass. All that money in an account drawing interest while they deduct the principal every time you use it. For them, it's a gift that keeps on giving. No wonder they quit charging a 50 cent fee for the transponders. The more the merrier.
