How much do you drink?

25 years old. I'm finding that I just don't enjoy drinking like I used to. Getting drunk on the weekends isn't fun anymore. I value being alert and aware over being numb and uninhibited. How lame is this?

You can go and be social and drink moderately. NoVA (and burbs in general) suck ass for social drinking b/c it's always a hassle to worry about driving. Places like NYC where you can walk everywhere and there are 20 bars in a 3blk radius it's much easier to go and grab a few occasionally..

Do yourself a favor and cultivate a taste for better booze. If you're no longer aiming for piss-drunk you might as well drink something good.

My wife's been pregnant/nursing for the last three years, and my drinking has gone way down as a result; just don't feel right chugging beers while she can't.

I'm in my 30s though.

I wouldn't present her with this argument but I kinda agree. I wouldn't rub my wife's face in it but no reason you both should suffer.
