We don't pay for things in tax rates or percentages. We pay for things in dollars. Even if it were 12% that would work out to 1000X more in dollars than the Mexican is ever going to contribute in his lifetime. Not to mention the secondary employment and associated taxes guys like Trump generate by creating employment for guys like the Mexican.

In all fairness, the guy's casinos were losing money out the wazoo. He was an honest businessman trying to earn a living in the gambling industry, the govt. has no right to punish him for not turning a profit.

They do if you want to define 'crime' in various ways. Unfortunately for your argument they still don't even with much larger numbers when it comes to violent crimes, robbery, etc. Even in cases where it's close it's vastly out of proportion to representations in the population.

But in a way you're right. Just like Trump and the rest of the higher end of taxpayers, minorities tend to contribute much more than their 'fair share' to violent crime.

Dumbshits like you think that the multi-trillion dollar government that we have is funded with fairy dust and don't understand that even a large percentage of squat still amounts to squat. Nobody really cares what they pay other than maybe just in principle so they have at least some skin in the game. You could take most all of their money and it still would amount to squat in the scheme of things.

Worse yet, the lowest 2/5ths of tax payers in the aggregate take out more in tax credits than they pay in. The next 1/5th is roughly a break-even as far as tax revenues. That's just counting on a tax basis, not the cost of entitlements and other net costs for those at the lower end which drive that deep into negative numbers. You don't start to actually generate any significant revenue until you get to the top 2/5ths and the vast majority of that comes from the higher end.

Sorry, your bullshit ain't gonna fly. Nobody has ever suggested that. In fact, in addition to not understanding how percentages work you don't understand how marginal tax rates and our tax system works.

Juan or whatever his name is only pays that 30% (which in reality he wouldn't at that income level) on the last dollars earned above whatever rate, not on every dollar earned up to whatever highest rate he may hit. So his overall effective average rate will be half if that. Then when he files his taxes, in addition to whatever refund he'll get back, he'll also qualify for various tax credits which will lower that to nothing or generate a net credit. In addition to whatever other social benefits that he and his family may receive otherwise at lower income levels.

No shit head, thats the extremity based on your logic. You dont believe in an equal percentage of taxation because the rich pay more. The fact that they make more is irrelevant to you because you're a moron. Dont give me that everyone needs skin in the game bullshit for people living under the poverty line.

Once again, long on bullshit, short on facts.

There isn't an equal percentage paid. The higher end pays more on that basis too. Both in the rates paid and given how the tax system is structured. Your argument is based on a bullshit comparison of Trump's (or whoever's) bottom line effective rate actually paid on a net basis against Juan's highest rate touched on a bracket basis which he won't ever actually pay on net. And again just based on how percentages work with large vs small numbers, the dollar amounts generated to fund the government aren't anywhere near comparable.

We can go to a system where everyone pays the same flat percentage if you want but that would be worse for the lower end. Regressive and all that dontcha know.
