and Intel, formerly a USA government secret tech chip maker, has been selling designs to any buyer - as reported by the countries producing non-usa intel chips of course - as reported by the people trying to sell "Intel Inside" that really: isn't

modernly there's allot of space in chips for spyware. you should bet that these countries are using it and distributing it

meanwhile in some apple products (they are made by Samsung btw, with "apple designs") are using asian cpu "designed in europe" ARM'ed which contain bypasses for java patents and use - and attacks Oracle/Sun software java (by compatibility, as usual). BUT not all apple products, just a fair share reportedly.
