the swedes have (had) huge metal supplies (build supercarrier oil ships with it) used to build Volvo using the metal

but they've sold off the Volvo name and it's built ... well you know anywhere cheap as fuck that gets a sale asia or what

which asian town do i call if the headlight is exposed to Sun too long and the lense is eroded and i fail inspection ?

what is the purpose of not using a glass headlight lens again please ?

also they said halogen was the end all of headlight problems ...

turns out:

1) if installed wrong they burn out quickly (cannot get dirt on bulb)

2) all connectors are cheap chinese crap touch something it breaks

3) if NOT installed by a real mechanic or someone with allot of horse sense - they can burn out the wire harness ($1000 damage maybe) in newer cars. the made in mexico packing will intently lead autopart store customers to make the mistake intenly (for sale in the USA only version)

4) they really dont light the road oh so much better as they said

5) they cost 2x 3x as much as the glass bulbs , and the glass bulbs can be recycled

6) glass housings CAN take replaceable bulbs. there's no reason to have bullshit shaped plastic housing molded into the cars metal body except to force customers to return to the same ASIAN maker

seedy auto companies put an $1200 "headlights" in higher model cars. they do go bad and people are enraged when they figure out what the fucking asians have done to them

Nope, it's not the US. No one will get sued.

Only a brain dead car salesman would just stand there and let the car hit him. I hope he died.

speaking of eletrical problems, ford f150...they had some nice wiring harnesses

The switch from glass to plastic---saves weight, saves money, and from a pedestrian standpoint probably safer in a collison, plus it also gives car designers a bit more freedom from a design standpoint.

remember back until 1990's when all US cars had to use a set size of sealed beam glass lens headlight...

whenever the light burned out or broke, you got a new bulb and lens...

Nice thing is that the plastic lenses are easily polished up. so no failed inspection...
