Poor people take the train. Non-news event.

Former Congressman Patrick Murphy said on Twitter that he was aboard the train when it crashed. "Helping others," he said. "Pray for those injured."

No, dipshit. You were on your smartphone tweeting.

Not entirely. Lots of business people commute or use the train between DC and Philly, NY, Boston for work. I'd take it at times. Drops you right downtown NYC vs having to haul in from the airport. Ends up being not much difference in travel time counting getting to the airport, through security, cabs, etc. LaGuardia's almost always an hour or two deal just getting out to the runway alone.

The news is just saying 50 hurt. No casualties?

During rush hour times I agree with you. 9:30 northbound is stank train.
