ELKO -- Residents woke up to a wintry display of fluffy stuff after temperatures dropped low enough overnight to turn rain into snow.

Chilly, damp weather is expected to continue today and gradually taper off through Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.

No hazardous weather warnings were posted, but winds could pick up this afternoon along with possible thunder.

High temperatures for the next few days will be in the 50s.

After dry weather on Sunday a chance of showers will return for the start of next week.
