Obama's Approval Rating with Military? 15%

I'm going to try to be objective....

This is a very poor rating. What do you think it is they don't like about this asshole?

http://www.cnn.com/2014/12/22/politics/obama-military-low-approval-rating/

Just 15% of active-duty servicemembers gave Obama a thumbs up in the annual Military Times survey and more than half -- 55% -- say they disapprove of Obama's job as commander-in-chief. The President has struggled to gain the approval of troops throughout his time in office, but these numbers reflect a new low for Obama, who finished his first year in office with a 35% approval figure and only 4 in 10 disapproving, according to the Military Times survey. The Military Times survey is not scientific and relies on a voluntary response from the publication's readers. President Obama's approval rating in the general population is much higher, though still well below 50 percent. In the most recent CNN / ORC poll, he got the approval of 44% of Americans.

Serious Question: Why does the right complain about the debt/deficit but have no problems through trillions at wars? I seriously could give a flying fuck about beheadings on the other side of the world when we have shootings, muggings, rapings, etc w/in our own borders.

Explain to me why we should prioritize ISIS over our own internal issues? The Defense budget is 600B+ already.

Voluntary response poll results are meaningless.

Bullshit. I joined the Army in 1966
and know full well how the Pentagon lies through it's teeth
about morale. I remember quite well while in Vietnam reading
a directive from MACV telling us to keep our mouths shut and
not discuss military matters with ANYBODY and if asked, direct
them to a Public Affairs Officer. At the same time I was
listening to senior officers tell us how fortunate and happy
we should be because we were there. When a formal poll is taken
by the senior brass of the enlisted troops the questions are
always rigged so show only the positive and ignore the negative.

With that kind of negative attitude its no wonder you lost that war for America and came home with a Butt Hurt Medal.

If you were one of my troops I'd put my boot right up your ass.

You'd shit and fall back in it. You've never been a Lt anything or you'd know
better than to say a thing like that. Lt's that were so new they were still
pissing stateside water learned a lot of hard lessons very quickly.

They learn quickly if they want to survive and assaulting their troops would not be a wise move. I wonder how many Lt's came home in a zip-lock bag because their troops were afraid he would get them all killed with his shitty attitude?

There was in interesting article in the Washington Times a few days ago. I cant find it online. It was discussing how a large majority of new prospective recruits for all branches of the service cannot even get past the initial screening. Too fat, hooked on meds, too many tatts. And these are typically late teens early 20's people. They will most likely have to think about lowering the standards in order to get enough men in uniform.

Typical of the US now. If people can't make the grade......lower the bar. Excellence is dead in this country.

Lowering the bar is nothing new. During the Vietnam era the
Communications Equipment Operators course I attended at Ft. Gordon
required an overall GT (General Testing) score of at least 130. Two
weeks before I graduated the Army announced they were lowering the
test score requirement to 110 because they were having a difficult
time finding enough qualified students. Our instructors were not happy
at all but there was nothing they could do about it.

BTW, I found the Times article. I'd say their best bet is to drop the
tattoo ban.

Smart people don't join the military. For the ones who want to join up, it's usually a career of last resort.

>Yes! And one of the YAY votes was Hillary's!

Are you trying to say that since Clinton is a piece of shit for merely voting for the war, the GOP (who voted 97% in its favor) and the Bush white house who doctored the evidence to fool folks into voting for this are, what, super-duper pieces of shit? I'm not sure this is the point you're trying to make, but it sounds like the point you're making.

>Smart people don't join the military. For the ones who want to join up, it's usually a career of last resort.

That may be a bit of a broad brush. Of the ex-military guys I know personally, plenty are pretty clever and many joined to, no kidding, 'serve their country'. I'm sure there's plenty of idiots in any group but a blanket 'smart folks don't join the military' - that you might want to keep to yourself.

Dipshits like that say the same about cops and firemen. When the shit hits the fan they run like little bitches and call 911 so real men can save them.

Nope. Get in the right job and it can be a lot of fun, some great experiences and memories. The Honorable you get at the end of it doesn't hurt getting jobs later, either. You missed out.

"smart people" wouldn't write the above statement. They also wouldn't post photos of underaged neighbors. But that's another story.

Err, umm, democrats are the war mongerers who put Americans in wars unprovoked.
Why do libtardz protest going to war after being attacked with a republican president vs. Supporting endless, illegal killings, assassinations and wars under obumblefuck?

No worries, libs will just initiate another draft like they did for Vietnam (another worthless lub war) to ensure the death of thousands of Americans.

Let's take these one at a time, libtard.

>Why do libtardz protest going to war after being attacked with a republican president

Because the Bush administration attacked the wrong folks, knowingly. From the beginning they decided that Iraq had attacked us on 9-11, and when the evidence didn't bear this out, they cherry-picked what they could to support attacking Iraq. Make no mistake, Saddam was an asshole who needed a bit of killing, but deposing him and occupying Iraq was in no way justified by 9-11, and it was sold as just that by people who knew better. It cost us a shit ton of money, lives, wounded, and (arguably) left the region sufficiently unstable that it fed the growth of ISIS. It's not that we were led there by a republican president, it's that it was an an unnecessary action that had disastrous and wholly-foreseeable consequences (most notably by Bush I, who apparently told his son not to do it, infuriating him).

>vs. Supporting endless, illegal killings, assassinations and wars under obumblefuck?

I'm not overly fond of this either, truth be told, but (and not to be too blood-thirsty), it seems like some of the right folks are getting killed here. Civilians and kids too and that's pretty bad, but don't ask me to weep for any of those ISIS fuckers just yet. Parse Obumblefuck as you will, but he's wary about getting us mired in the middle east. That's a damn sight more than his predecessor did, and I'd have two more friends than I do now if Bush II had just listened to his dad.

Shocker! He changes the rules of engagement to ensure US soldiers are murdered, denies them proper equipment, reassigns generals that disagree with him and now attacks the flag and the warriors that built this country that they are fighting for. Plus they are in yet another democrat war they shouldn't be in like most of the wars the USA has been in.

Korea, Vietnam, WW2, etc. all democrat wars that took a republican to put an end to.

Obama, under the democrat controlled congress, had the largest defense budget in US history.

So go fuck yourselves libs!

History is fact matter how badly you want to rewrite it.

That 15% is probably the blacks that voted for him and can't just accept their mistakes in voting for him.
