I really don't see a big difference between this part and the general forum. Why aren't they just combined? The general forum is for anything that is of interest to people in Fairfax County, NOT just about Fairfax County stuff.

I think the initial goal was to keep General as a place to actually share information and generate conversation. Off Topic was for the trolls, loons, and trouble makers.

As time rolled by and the participation on this forum has dwindled, I think people realized posting in Off Topic was like leaving a message in the Sahara Desert. So their only option to have something noticed was to post in General which still has some participation.

So, you are correct. There really is no difference in the two forums. There is trolling, perverted sexual pics, bullying, and just plain old garbage in both. And I'm certain nobody even bothers to read any of the sub forums.

Blame the rightards. They have to ruin everything. Time and time again people tried to explain the reason for that simple rule to the rightards. But they don't care, they will violate and infect every corner with their idiocy without concern for the damage the cause.
