The more I study the case the more I find some fault in Wilson. It was a feeble thing to say that he felt like a 5 year old kid in the hands of a "Hulk Hogan" for one thing. 12 shots is also something of an overkill in my opinion, that is kinda strange. I feel that he had the right to use deadly force; but only when all avenues of non lethal force have been used, he used absolutely no matter of persuasion prior to the killing. Something is wrong in the whole Wilson testimony, just does not sound right. I really don't think Mike Brown was as bad as they made him out to be and deserved to die.

Wilson was 6'3" and Brown was 6'5". There is very little difference in size, Wilson should have went "toe to toe" with him, like a man. Wilson looked flabby, that is true, but still. That baloney about the killing blows was just that......nonsense. Like if the guy hit like a Mike Tyson when all wee saw was a little boo-boo on his face! Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't help but notice you completely omitted the difference in weight. 300 lbs to probably 180. If Gentle Mike had gotten him on the ground he would have killed him.

The tragedy is that Big Mike was on the path to success when you consider his honesty, integrity, and his talent as a lyricist.

I was not a blue beret, when I was in the AF we packed 38s long barrel, it was so long ago, I was stationed in Greece, Hellenikon AFB, a base that is not even there anymore. I also worked in the Pentagon, Directorate of Operations as a Security type. I worked 4 years as a CO, first with the Sheriff's Dept, at the House of Correction and Jail, then the Dept. of Corrections.

You guys dont know shit. I was a security guard at a section 8 apartment complex on Martin Luther King Ave in Anacostia for 5 years. I had a 12 gauge pump filled with 00 buck and SA 9mm with a 19 round mag. I would have blown that nigger's head clean off in the first 5 seconds because that's the only way to deal with that sub species. I had to live in that sewer every day for 5 years. You learn some things.

OP may have a point. However-
Two shots were inside the police vehicle, hence Wilson may have very well felt his life was in mortal danger.
MB attacked him while he was inside the vehicle. Maybe it's just a 'black' thing but where I grew up, you didn't get into an argument with and start slugging a cop because they stopped you and told you what you were doing wasn't right, i.e, walking in the middle of the road.
It's my understanding that cops are taught to shoot center mass, to put down the threat, not give a flesh wound. MB ran away, then turned back and charged Wilson. 9mm against a charging bull, high on dope and adrenaline? I would've emptied the magazine.

Gentle Mike was a big kid, and ate ten Lunchables per day. He would bench and deadlift a ton of weight at the gym. Mike's 40 speed and his strength were overwelming for Wilson. Wilson had no choice, but to stop the threat.
