Recall that you were the one who initially reached out to him to buy drugs. He never thought of you as anything other than another customer. He didn't even think of you as a friend, not even an acquaintance.
It is very disturbing how you latch on to people who you just meet like that. Even having a 10 minute conversation with a random stranger will cause you to grow an infatuation for them. This is not normal. Get help.

But they weren't. Jo is embarrassed to have ever known him. In fact, if you take a look at the photo of Mikey in Jo's car you can see the anger in his face. This was when Jo was trying to explain to Mikey that they were not dating and he wasn't his boyfriend. This is the moment that started all of the stalking, harassment, phone calls, vandalism and need for protective order.

It was only an unfortunate coincidence that caused them to cross paths. Though Jojo is originally from Richmond, he has lived in New York for many years and only goes to Richmond for the odd holiday and birthday to see family. He happened to be in Richmond and was selling some drugs for a relative who had sold to Michael once before. Jojo was spending an extended period of time in Richmond to help a disabled uncle and started selling to Michael more frequently because he was steady $$.
Michael didn't start going psychotic until Jojo told him that he would not be able to sell him anything anymore because he was going back to nyc and Eesh turned psychotic. Even calling him frequently asking Jojo to come down just to sell him drugs lol.
