Fort Jefferson

I saw this on Google Earth and was intrigued by the structure in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. A bit creepy and weird given that it was built almost 200 years ago. Anyone ever been there?

I've been to Ft. Jefferson hundreds of times. In the basement is a green door with a stylized purple closed eye on it. If you knock twice, then three times, then twice, the eye opens. You must then ask, "Would the destroyer ever grant an audience to one who would know the world?"

If the door doesn't open immediately, RUN, because you have about two seconds to live. If it does open, inside you'll find a frail old man in a wheelchair. Do not make eye contact with him, or you will be driven insane. Kneel down in front of him and draw the symbol of Mars using a piece of red chalk, and he will place his hand on the back of your head. You will gain insight beyond that of mortal men, and receive a small heart-shaped talisman. As long as you wear this talisman, you cannot be killed by any weapon known to man.

Did this twice last summer, and three summers before that with the kids. It's a great time.

This Fort Jefferson place (Dry Tortugas National Park) looks like a pretty cool location. You can actually camp there. It must be pretty cool to camp out on some remote, undeveloped island when it's nice and warm. I wanna go there.
