The missile struck and the plane fuselage began to break apart.
Since the infant was not buckled into a seat like his parents he was sucked out of the plane in a rush of wind and screaming passengers.
The thin, almost nonexistent atmosphere quickly knocked the baby unconscious.
Falling quickly through the sky into heavier and heavier air finally revived the child just long enough to hear the rushing wind on its ears and finally feel the crushing blow the ground caused to its bones and internal organs.
And now it lays in a dirt field next to its impression, not far away from the mangled parents who were trapped in their seats and plane debris.
A tribute to human ingenuity.
