And finally, now he says it didn't happen because the US called off their nuclear test in Nevada that week and the aliens diverted the planned commet hits. Good thing we didn't piss off the aliens enough.

Oh, and comet fragments *did* hit the Atlantic, because of the unexplained high waves that were recorded, so they claim he was right after all.
