Where's the media uproar?

Those strict gun laws in Chicago really work don't they?

They do. We just need tighter restrictions on the law abiding gun owners. We also need to continue to ridicule, mock, and shun them until they realize guns aren't cool and they give them up. Then criminals won't have guns either. I think.

I buy all my guns under the table from the ATF. Cash only, no checks accepted.

161 homocides so far this year. And just by coincidence today is the 161st day of the year. Meaning, all things remaining constant, Obumble's community organized town is on pace for 365 murders this year. Looking like DC back in the Marion Barry days.

Of those 161 murders 133 recored Gunshot as the cause, in a city with some of the strictest laws in the country.

If this data alone doesn't prove the fallacy of the gun grabbers' argument then they're just tone deaf and unwilling to acknowledge the reality that it's not the guns causing the deaths, it's the types of people using them.

They'll blow through 356 easily. The annual average now is more in the 450 range. That's actually down from the worst of the late-80s early-90s when it was bumping up over 900 during the crack epidemic. Unfortunately, it seems to be on the rise again with the same type of drug and gang activity driving it again.

Same as DC back in the day. Remove the drug crime and organized activity around it and the rates will fall greatly. Which is why DC's came down so much. They did a very good job breaking up the main sources like Rayful Edmond and focused on root causes like gang activity versus useless stuff like video recording gun purchases and ridiculous buy-back programs done for show versus effect. From there you're dealing with more base-level day-to-day crime. DC's went from close to 500/year to now 100/year or less.

Wouldnt 12 people shot and killed be a mass shooting? I cannot believe CNN hasn't gone 24/7 coverage on this.

That makes too much sense and requires too much effort. Much easier to just call names and demand restrictions on law abiding gun owners.

You all sound like Jared Miller. As if your lives would be any less unfulfilling without the ability to amass an arsenal of guns. You have been brain washed with hatred.

We can't stop barge loads of illegal immigrants, counterfeit merchandise, and illegal drugs from coming into this country. If the black market demands guns, they will get them one way or the other.

Sounds like you've got the hatred brother. You just can't accept that some people might want to own guns while others don't.

Who is Jared Miller? Is that yet another name for GerryManderer2?

Yep, we like easy. Pass a law and pat yourself on the back. We did something! Regardless whether it actually does anything or not.

Chicago has a real problem now. They've let the big boy cartels get control and they're even more insular, organized, and much harder to crack (no pun intended). Even the guys who just come up like Edmond's group were tough given that he was smart about how he ran it. It's kind of impressive (in a bad way) how much influence on things like the murder and crime rates for a major city one small group like that can have as things tier-down from it.
