Susanna Hoffs, the Bangles... This shot is definitely from the 'Walk with an Erection" video. I'm sure like a lot of other dbags out there, I thought I was the only one who noticed her sexy eyes and her that soft voice when she sang the last lines. I'm sure it was probably the 50th take in a studio now and it was well rehearsed.

Dale Bozzio/Missing Persons.. I always confuse her and her hubby Terry as they both have girls names. He was a former drummer for Zappa and a great one at that, she had that same squeak voice that was popular in the 80's and a freak look to say the least...

Belinda Carlisle was a fatso for a while, looked good a little buxom but was up unstable..

Jane Wiedlin had great lips and eyes, one of the few chicks with short hair I liked. Don't look now though.

Cool. cool. Great story, I hope you still have it.

I have seen her a bunch of times, she is the absolute BEST!! Fkg rock and fucking roll. And she keeps it real. She is not some mega millionaire cunt, she is like a blue collar rock woman, she plays 50-60 shows a years, kicks fkg ass at shows, plas all of her hits and makes a fine living doing it. She doens make 5 million per night, but she works just as hard as the fuckers pull down 5 mill a night, and she lives a pretty good life within her budget.

I would go see Joan these days in 1/2 a second if she came within 50 miles of me.

Joan Jett was/is really cool but I've always thought she's okay-looking at best. And the Runaways were really a 70s band, which is why they have that skank look which is now common on the "people of walmart" website. Jett puts on a kickass show though, she is the real deal.

Maybe my favorite rock and roll chick is probably Chrissie Hynde. Hot in the 80s, she always has that punk look, punk attitude, great voice, plays guitar, is a badass. And unlike most punks she doesn't suck at singing, performing, or songwriting. She's in her 60s now and it shows but she was hot in the 80s.



As for Susanna Hoffs, this is her in 2008. Still quite hot.

They were great times, I was still a teen, of course it was good...


But the music was super faggoty.

Hard rock and guitars were replaced by synths, electronic drums and clown faces with bad haircuts.

Glam rock and shitty pop metal came out, other bands tried to front and went with speed and thrash.

I liked the grunge of the 90's much better.

THat pic of Robert Plant LOL. A lot of greats from the 70s went full douche in the 80s and then recovered later.

Thanks for the Debbie Harry pics. She was fucking super hot back then. Now she's in the "looks ok for an old lady" category, which is about as much as you can ask for. Aging sucks.

Also, Patty Smyth is up there with Suzanna Hoffs in the MILF category.

Another one from the 80s, pop singer with a decent voice and songs I hated, was Katrina Leskanich of Katrina and the Waves. Never thought she was particularly good-looking, though. More like an average British chick, probably with fucked up teeth.

Amen on the 1981, I was still a skinny little pimple faced teen trying to be hard back then. Love to do that again...

Early 80's was a shitty transitional period, DC101 was playing the Cars and Men At Work and BS like that. ZZ Top discovered electronic drums. Robert Plant was using synths and samples.

People were wearing mullets and drinking California Coolers for fucks sake man...

YES, it was nice to be young, but they were pretty stupid times.

I truly like disco better then the lame new wave they were trying to sell us back then.

Grunge was depressing and opiated but at least they used real instruments.

Aimee Mann is actually kind of a big deal in Canada I think. She guested on a Rush track back in the 80s, around the time she had that Voices Carry hit, which was not bad for a pop song. Never thought she was hot, though.

I agree Cyndi Lauper looked fun but ridiculous. I hated that half-shaved haircut she had. Her and Madonna were big into the trash-glam thing.

Also from the 80s, and absolutely terrifying in fact, was Grace Jones, who just looks like a dude. A big, scary, fucking dude.



She looks pretty much exactly the same as she did 30 years ago.

And if you find this perticular female attractive you are probably gay.

I believe "Pretenders" was probably a play on the meaning of "pretender" as someone who claims to be the real king, as in "pretender to the throne". Maybe I'm wrong.

cindy lauper lit up mtv late 80's. was part of a high energy music blast in the late 80's of many bands out of the late 70's just arriving to new MTV - worth watching back then.
