It's called voluntourism. You get to see the world for free under the guise that you are helping people. It also seems to be for people that want to be career volunteers. You know, the Peace Corps recruits people that have 10 years worth of volunteer experience. How the fuck do you spend that much time volunteering?

Volunteering these days is more about taking pictures and patting each other on the back.
