Left handed and ambidextrous people are three times more likely to be pedophiles than right handed people.

Actually, those articles are quite interesting. I'd never heard that pedophilia could be an organic brain disorder and/or an innate sexual orientation. You learn something new every day - although generally not here.

Hopefully no one will demand that pedophilia be seen as a sexual orientation. If they do, pedophiles could claim discrimination and a right to be with a child as long as it is consensual.

Yeah, this isn't a can of worms waiting to happen. So let's say they "discover" it is a organic brain disorder and are able to test for it. If someone doesn't molest children but simply has this disorder (i.e. they are able to exhibit some control because humans are not simple base animals in most cases) do we "treat" them preemptively?

We already have this issue with a couple of other organic disorders but none of them have the "THINK OF THE CHILDREN" imperative which seems to impair any critical thinking.
