Credit scores tell a lot about an individual. High scores show you are responsible and reliable. I only rent my homes to people with high credit scores. Once in a while you get the welfare liberal leech crack head that trashes the house but for the most part it's a good barometer.
Oh, by the way, you are not going to get that last job.

so what your saying is people that live in the means, pay cash for everything they own and dont go into debt for anything are worthless and should be unemployed ?

They're looking for massive unpaid debt/collections; this is especially true in applications for financial jobs, as people with debt problems statistically are prone to embezzlement.

How does having a good credit rating mean you are living beyond your means and are in debt?
To me it means a person is most likely trustworthy, has a decent job and pays their bills. Debt makes people weak. That is precisely why Obama pushes people to borrow money.

As an employer I don't want to hire someone who may possibly quit in a few months when some creditor decides to garnish his salary. I'd also be worried that someone with significant debt problems might be more inclined to steal and would be as careless with my business as he is with his own financial affairs. So I don't fault employers for wanting to check this out before hiring people.

What would concern me though would be doing mass checks of potential employees early in the application process. Credit inquiries can affect credit scores. If you are out looking for a better job, you shouldn't have to trash your credit score in order to have your application looked at. The time for this is when the employer has decided he is serious about possibly hiring you.

Sounds like someone isn't very responsible about paying their bills.

Loser. No wonder you're unemployed. One of Obama's Army, eh?

It's not that type of inquiry. The only inquiries that affect your score are the applications for new credit.

If you look at your credit report, you see that every year lenders inquire about your credit worthiness, they don't affect your score as if you applied for a loan or credit card.

You don't know what you are talking about, and you don't work in human resources.

I just had mine checked a few weeks back. Between the 3 reporting agencies, my average was 793. That was a great day. Same score for my wife, too.

We have access to some of the best interest rates at the moment for mortgages, etc.

A few years back when I worked for a federal government consulting agency, we had a guy who didn't meet the qualifications that the employer was looking for. Within a week, he was transferred to another assignment where such a check wasn't required due to client specifics.

Sorry to break it to you OP, but you are responsible for your actions. I own two businesses and have authorized software to run background checks. I run them on every single person I hire. I even ran a full background check on our babysitter.

Don't like it? Stop being so irresponsible.

It's about damn time people are liable for their actions (or lack of).

The laughs in this thread don't stop. "Authorized software"? You mean like an online background check? ha.

Anyway, background checks don't give you a credit rating. That is entirely different.

people with bad credit are usually obamacare voters and looking for a free handout. no employer wants a libtard slacking on their payroll or trying to unionize the whole place.

And check out your parents.

you don't have to sign the employee agreement. rich fed workers have lawyers create their own and have the employer sign it

you don'thave to allow them to do anything: but they don't have to hire you

-----------------------------
to get pro-bono worker's rights laws you'd have to go to fairfax county courts

----------------------------
please tell me if you have problems i'd like a verified case to throw at them hard.

why is because legally i cannot throw my own case at them hard. someone else's, yes

Nobody wants a freeloading fuck face on the payroll. They get paid on a friday, and bother co-workers for money on monday for lunch. Nigga rich is cancer in a productive work place.
