ps I understand that dems have a slight advantage in gdp growth. I also understand that many other factors affect gdp. As I am sure you are aware as BO has the worst year for gdp growth(2009) in modern history. I am sure you don't blame him for that do you?

Government has little sway on the economy and I agree with Gerry. The ebb and flow of the economy tends to benefit the rich and corporations the most.

Many beliefs changed with this last episode whereby the gov't injected so much liquidity into the economy to avoid the calamity (to wit: Japans lost decade in the 90's due to Austerity). Where do you find fault?

I have been doing that for 27 years. I have a hands on job making about 34 bucks an hour. Thanks to Mr. Obama I have made a shitload of money in the stock market in the last 5 years. Things are looking up and I am cashing out about 300 grand in profits now.

Why haven't I made it ahead? I don't know. I work some hard jobs, definitely live within my means, further my education. My predicament is not unlike that of millions of others.

Well maybe if you keep that up and look for opportunities instead of despair, you may get a break.

It's not about despair. The point is we don't live in a primitive world in which one can work hard and the harvest simply doesn't pan out, there's a system that skews progress. People do make it, however far more people struggle.
