The Shuttle was to be phased out and our launch capability picked up by the Constellation/Ares rocket program. It wasn't Bush who directed the move to Ares. That was based on NASA's direction and was a planned transition. The assumption being that there would be a new more capable launch platform to replace it.

That did not mean that the Shuttle flights had to end when they did. Obama had the option to continue to maintain the program. He chose not to. He also chose not to continue development of a replacement capability. Both of which were his own budgetary decisions and not based on NASA direction.

Bush created the space entry capability gap and reliance on the Russians. The country and you dumb Republicans knew full and well what that meant then and non of you hypocrtical lying sacks of shit rose any objections at the time.

The gap wasnt created by Obama. If Obama hadnt changed a thing we still would be reliant on the Russians solely on policies implemented under Bush.

Bush didn't create anything. The 'gap' was as NASA had planned the transition with the Shuttle flying through the end of 2010 and initial Orion capabilities available in 2011 and a first manned flight in 2014. And actually Republicans well as some Dem proponents did bitch about it at the time.
