Not going to post the whole story. Just the first paragraph.

"Mikhail Kalashnikov, whose work as a weapons designer for the Soviet Union is immortalized in the name of the world's most popular firearm, died Monday at the age of 94."

100 million floating worldwide. No single fire arm has a higher kill count. Made fully automatic rifles readily available in any combat zone.

I read his book, "The Gun That Changed The World" and it was awesome. He was a tank commander who'd been wounded and went to work in a weapons factory. He only had an 8th grade education and sat the world on its ear with the AK.

He invented something that was a brutal reliable killing machine. It bolstered sides in bloody civil wars. Responsible for mowing down entire villages. Was the weapon of choice for bloody revolutions. Brought down strong arm dictators.

It was a weapon that fit the bill of death. Responsible for the deaths of millions of people.

Where can I get a good Russian-made AK, gerry? Have you ever had one?

If you're referring to an a authentic original then good luck and don't forget to take out a second mortgage. If you're referring to a newer model then they're easy to find. Vegas based Arsenal imports parts from the Izmash based Saiga factory. Get an Arsenal, Polytech or Belt, if you can find the two latter.
