Well, looks like McCain could get a war started in Syria or Somalia, time to move on to the Ukraine.

U.S. Senators John McCain and Chris Murphy joined around 200,000 anti-government protesters in the central square of Ukraine's capital Sunday, threatening sanctions against the government of President Viktor Yanukovych if authorities use more violence to disperse demonstrators.

Anti-government protesters have set up an extensive tent camp in Kiev and erected barricades of snow hardened with freezing water and studded with scrap wood and other junk.

Where does it mention military action?

Seems to read more like Obama's sanction approach.

Ukraine is becoming more pro-Russia with each day. They were looking at becoming a member of the EU, but now they seem to favor close relations with Putin.

It is presented on the world stage that "some members of Congress want WAR", then John Kerry or some other negotiator makes "everything nice".

Figure you can't overthrow government with protest groups and wacko militias alone. If things went "well", they would have a violet overthrow but require air support as in Libya, Kosovo, etc. SO he assumes the military will bail him out regardless.
