Aron Ralston, the hiker who gained fame for cutting off his forearm to free himself after becoming trapped by a dislodged boulder in a Utah canyon, is due in a Denver court today on domestic violence changes involving minors, according to the Associated Press.
Ralston, whose life was turned into a movie starring James Franco as the trapped hiker, was booked on Sunday on charges of assault and wrongs to minors. Police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez tells The Associated Press she can't release any details until she speaks with a domestic violence detective.
No other information is available at the moment. Ralston, 38, is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
