This is not to be racist..
You know, the colored people have their music, but our music is Country and Bluegrass that came from Celtic traditions in Ireland and Scotland and was brought to the hills of Virginia and Tennessee by Scotch Irish immigrants. There is nothing shameful in celebrating such rich cultural heritage we all share as white folk with the good 'ol Country and Western songs of yore and dressing up like the Mexicans.

Darius Rucker is making some pretty great county music at this point. His work is actually better than when he was with Hootie and the Blowfish.

Also, Lionel Richie has a country album out, too.

Meade actually has a far more progressive view of colored folks than was taught by his parents and in his church.
They taught that blacks were totally useless.

Meade knows different, he knows blacks can be useful as entertainers.

There's actually a decent amount of country out there, its just that people never take the time to give it a try. Many people immediately dismiss country without even knowing what they're missing.

Country music stars look a little "Appalacian"; if you get my meaning. Elvis was the exception, but he really had little to do with CW. He tried to appear on "Hee Haw", but Colonel Parker said "No F..... way"
