Gun buying panic round 2?
Posted by: exffx ()

So with the new VA governor...will there be another round of panic gun and ammo buying?

I don't live in VA anymore, but do drive through there regularly and sometimes buy ammo.

Won't happen.

McAuliffe will have a difficult enough time with routine day-to-day legislative matters. He's not in a strong enough position with the legislature and voters to even attempt something like that. It would be political suicide for him and the Dems.

Comrade Terry will be lucky if he can get the legislature to go along with an Arbor Day celebration much less anything to do with guns.

Oh, I don't think Terry will be doing too much to restrict guns in the Old Dominion. Ah, skeet shooting? Yeah right!

Just because Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe is pushing for an assault weapons ban and one-gun-a-month restriction in the Old Dominion doesn't mean he's opposed to slinging lead.

In fact, the former Democratic Party chairman is one of Virginia's newest gun owners, the proud papa of a sleek Beretta over and under shotgun, the standard of excellence at the area's skeet ranges.

Secrets first heard of his purchase over the weekend from shoppers at Dick's Sporting Goods in Bailey's Crossroads who saw the likely Democratic gubernatorial nominee shouldering one of the pricy long guns.

His campaign confirmed the purchase and even gave us a reason. "It was a Beretta shotgun so he and his son, who is currently a second-year midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy, can go skeet shooting together," said campaign spokesman Josh Schwerin.

Obviously there is no sort of intelligence test to be able to purchase firearms or ammunition.

So, a panic to run out and buy guns and ammo at 300% over normal prices occurred last time Faux news and Infowars told you to do it... which ultimately proved to be bullshit considering no federal proposal that was up for vote even taking away any type of gun; only requiring mental checks and a clip limit (you could just reload ya know)

So that passes, nothing changes thanks to the NRA lobbyists

Now you morons are being drummed up again to pay 3 times the price... and you haven't learned your lesson>?

Hey fuck nuts, gun sellers and manufacturers are a big business, and they are playing you like the dumb shits you are.

Fool me once... uh... shame... shame on you

By pass I mean goes away, not legislatively passed, as afterall even mental checks were something that LaPierre opposed.

One gun is for protection.
Two guns is getting paranoid
Three or more guns is collecting. Real men don't collect.
Boys collect. The more guns you collect, the more ammo a schmuck thinks he has to have. If the shit remotely ever started, you boys would wished you had invested in pampers instead of ammo. I could have written "adult" pampers but would have been pushin' it.

Shotgun for hunting rabbits and squirrels.
Rifle for hunting deer.
.223 rifle for hunting coyotes.
Pistol for home defense. (shotgun can be used, depending)

The dumbasses I see on this forum never cease to amaze me.
You need to get out of the house more often.

It appears you enjoy shooting small animals.
Have you ever hunted?

I think the best home defense weapon is a 12 gauge pump shotgun. It's conceivable you would never have to fire a shot if someone broke in and attacked you or your family. Once the scum hears you rack a shell with the slide, chances are he is heading right back out pronto!

Remington Model 870 Heme Defender. 18" barrel and holds 7 shells (with one in the pipe)

None of which are being banned or questioned by the feds or any state government including Colorado.

Morons

Fuck, Biden's telling people to use a shotgun to protect their home. No one is against responsible gun ownership, except for the nutjobs who are just as bad as the Breitbarts of the world on the far left.

Everyone who matters simply wants more accountability of gun dealers who trade under the table, mentally ill people who have shown violent past tendencies or have been arrested for domestic abuse, and a small control on the number of bullets in any single load. You can have as many bullets as your heart contents but you don't have to have a 10 bullet magazine to be able to enjoy guns responsibly.

Why is that so fuckin vile? Seriously?

Now go on and make your gun run and help the corporations make more off of your stupidity.

While I appreciate that's the position of more realistic and sensible people, actually that's not what a lot want. They want guns to be banned. Period. That's made clear by their own statements. They just know that they can't get away with that, so they try to do it a little at a time. As also is stated as strategy. Which is why they get the stone-wall push back by the same absolutists on the other side.

Gun advocacy groups generally don't oppose going after illegal gun sellers or mental health checks. In fact, they've directly supported both. Magazine limits don't fall into that same category. Rather, it's just simply pointless nuisance legislation to satisfy an urge by people who don't really understand the subject beyond "Guns are bad! We must do SOMETHING!" whether it actually effectively addresses any problem or not.

Both groups are their own worst enemies at times.

Bull pucky. Gun dealers run checks on purchasers. What the Bloomburgs of the world want is to outlaw guns. It's pretty simple and clear.

And like I said, Breitbart and far right people say a lot of disruptive statements as well. The 80% of people, the ones who matter, are in the middle. The problem is the lobbyists on the Breitbart side won out last time with gun panic sentiment as has been echoed on this thread several times now.

Most people just want logical reforms. Whether a specific city wants to ban it, well thats local rights, if the people support it, they support it and people can vote with their feet.

Last I checked GOP is supposed to be in favor of local and state rights over federal overarching. So why does that only apply to things that the GOP favors? NYC is within their rights to propose policy that they believe to be best for their citizens so long as it stands constitutionally. To date, the supreme court has allowed for restraints on the 2nd amendment for military level weaponry; so it is constitutional what he is proposing.

Ah yes, you're another one of those urban hicks who has never known a hunter.
Try reading the Virginia game laws and you'll find a lot of different critters are popularly hunted.

I tended to support some of the enhanced back ground checks, but as soon as the hysterical liberal idiots were demanding stopped talking about that, and talked about reinstating a ban that did not work in the first place, and other dumb proposals, I stopped supporting them because they devolved and squandered their opportunity do do something smart to just pushing their authoritarian narrative to ban guns.

I pretty much started opposing all of their crap after I saw that old walking sack of shit Feinstein give that speech and gun control proposal. I was GLAD to see their end result legislation (again, which had nothing to do with seriously dealing with mental health issues) go down in flames.

I am not really an NRA supporter either, though I did dig their museum.

Terry is a Clinton stooge. He will spend his entire term setting up Virginia for Hillary in 2016. In return, she will appoint him to a job where he can shake down diplomats and fleece local governors.

Little critters? Big game for you? Impressive.
Using a .223,I thought you might have had a little experience with a differant type of game. You know the type, where the critters shoot back. Maybe we are on seperate levels of hunting. I shot a squirrel when I was a kid. Felt real bad about it. When I became a man I gave up my childish thoughts.
And I like coyotes. They are an essential part of the natural food chain.
Peace.

Yes, I'm experienced with the .223 in Vietnam only the military round is
called a 5.56X45 mm (NATO) round. Four years active duty Army with a tour
in Nam. I like the round for hunting medium sized game and there's no
recoil. You might want to talk to some chicken farmers about coyotes being
an "essential part of the natural food chain". Sorry for your bad experience
as a child. Too bad your parents didn't help you get over it.

Actually no common sense won out since everything being banned was aesthetic. When no one else had a gun magazine size doesnt matter. The VT shooter only had two pistols and they were some of the smallest caliber ones you can have and did massive amounts of damage because he was the only one with a gun.

Its just like the assault rifle bs. They arent the same the military uses, they dont have burst fire ability which is what makes them extremely deadly. Theyre just a rifle that looks scary.

Same reason why semi-automatic is always stated during a shooting to get the word automatic in there and scare people. Basically every gun since the civil war has been semi auto or better, it just means one shot per trigger pull.

Cities do get leeway with it if their population wants it. However the constitution overrides it when it turns to full on outright bans which is the ultimate goal. Never once has a gun law been passed and the anti-gun groups said finally were done, they just move onto pushing it further.

Theres already 10s of thousands of gun laws and laws against crime, one more law isnt going to do anything positive.

Just because it may be legal doesnt mean its not stupid and does nothing. Their 7 round magazine for handguns was so well thought out they didnt even exclude police or realize magazines arent made in that size. So their solution was okay you can have magazines but can only put 7 rounds in it, that makes sense.

If an overwhelming majority of the population wants it they usually get it, the problem is its rarely if ever that case. Theres enough liberal gun owners that the majority almost always falls on the other side but because they vote party line the people in power represent a position that the majority does not actually support. Not to mention crime goes up and the city becomes the typical crime infested American city.

If they really want it though thats fine give it to them at a local level. Local policies are easily undone as we saw in Colorado. But theyre being hypocrites if they complain when a company wont sell them weapons that citizens cant own.

I think Terry has been bangin Hillary since Bill wont get near her (with good reason). If the GOP doesnt come up with a viable candidate for 2016, that old hag has it in the bag and she will give Terry a cushy cabinet post.

The gun nuts in the closet losers are comparing notes again. Not too much longer and your privilege of owning a gun will be gone to protect yourselves. Pathetic losers all of you are. Gun owners are the #1 criminal in this country. I'll make sure to bump this post in a few months when you republican dirt bags have to turn in your firearms or are banned from owning a vast majority of them. It's only for the best.

Appreciated. You greenies were lucky to be issued the too twentythree. I carried the mf-14 and it was a heavy piece of wood. But it did the job. One shot, one tree. One clip and I was a lumberjack. Came back to the land of golden arches and learned to make love instead of killing trees and people. Only own one pistol, my trusty old friend,Colt. The trinkets of survival
Never heard any lifer say 5.56x whatever. I guess I missed that part.
Probably stoned.
Peace

ps. Thanks for the hunting info but I'll just keep feeding the critters.

Lunatic gun owners are trying to justify gun violence due to their own doing. I'll have the last laugh. 2nd amendment does not apply anymore, it is widely ignored for good reasons because wack job gun owners. The founding fathers would not have added it if they could foresee you redneck psychopaths republican looney-toons. If anything the constitution needs to go to the shredder for your own protection and society as a whole. Now go squeeze one off.

I was in Nam when my unit made the transision from M-14 to M-16. Never did like the M-16 because it felt like a toy and the 7.62mm round has a Hell of a lot more wallop. Another thing that drove me up a wall with the M-16 was it's total unsuitability for bayonet fighting. Gimme some weight please! I usually differentiate on the .223 and 5.56X because one of my rifles is a Ruger Mini-14 and on some models they're not always interchangeable.

First of all, thank you for your military service, sir. Each day I tend to regret my military sacrifice since the Dems take America's freedom for granted.

Second, if you have a 150 round revolving clip on the AR-15, then one really doesn't need a bayonet. The video of this item in action on You Tube would make a Dems neck hair curl up even more.

Ahooo-Ah !

Since the thread was created to draw attention of an upcoming panic and pandemonium due to a perceived ammunition shortage, would you please inform G&A and the forum how he can stock and even load a 150 round revolving "clip"?
Any information provided could be beneficial.
Even tho G&A and I had a spirited discussion on the amount of weapons and their usage,I feel he is an excellant marksman and has a vast knowledge of tools of the trade. Therefore 150 rounds might be a bit of overkill for the gentleman.
With apologies, but I'm getting a small whiff of bullshit. Maybe more than a whiff.

The wife looks forward to your return visits because darling husband can't keep it up.

A fine post. Did you stay up late to write this work of satire? America needs more creative thinkers such as yourself.
Please don't handle any sharp objects are loaded weapons in your state of mind.
God Bless....anyone who has or will have to associate with you.

I can't take anyone who uses the term "150 round revolving "clip"" seriously. It shows a total lack of knowledge of firearms and the military which is typical of the anti-s. Standard magazine for the M-16 in those days was 20 rds. There is a current argument as to whether a bayonet is effective or not but in those days we'd been taught from day one of it's importance. I've had a good laugh on this thread by imagining what it would be like to reload a "150 round revolving clip" when Charlie is coming through the wire. Oh yeah...

Listen kid. You are immature and stupid. Perhaps you require some serious adult management. If you could pass the aptitude requirements, you should enlist in the Armed Forces. Might make a man out of you.
Now go beat off somewhere else.

Maybe twenty years ago, today the Army has soliders like Bradley, I mean Jessica, Manning to deal with. Might be the first time the Army made a woman out of a man.
