Cheapskate! Mittens Canceled Campaign Aides’ Credit Cards Late On Election Night
Date: November 09, 2012 01:23PM

From the moment Mitt Romney stepped off stage Tuesday night, having just delivered a brief concession speech he wrote only that evening, the massive infrastructure surrounding his campaign quickly began to disassemble itself.
Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards linked to the campaign no longer worked.

These campaigns often stiff a lot of people too after they lose or throw in the towel during a primary. They'll rack up a $15k catering bill with some local restaurant during the Iowa primary, get their ass beat, and then essentially cease to exist. The restaurant can try and get the money, but they usually fail. Same with companies who make signs or rent office space for a local HQ.

I'd bet Mitt left a wake of unpaid bills all over the country. Maybe instead of wasting $300M on PAC ads, Rove could have used some of that to pay off the bills of GOP campaign deadbeats. After all, the folks who suffer from that are usually just small business owners.

Just like Obama did when their campaign was over and the cards were turned off.

Oh? When did that happen? Were the President's staffers left stranded like Mittens' were? Do tell.
