No, they don't.

As typical, they excluded their own interests.

Also excluded are pollsters and non profits.

Have you guys heard about this new service? It's called "Caller I.D.".

Yeah, so when someone calls you their number comes up on the phone's display so you can decide whether or not to take the call. I have this phone that I bought WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY back in 1996 that lets me cancel the ringer on any incoming call and also decide if I want voice mail to take it or not. So, I only have to hear the phone ring once on a robo-call...kill the ringer...don't tell it to go to voicemail and I don't have to deal with it.

Most likely creditors,debt collectors,law offices,neighbors with complaints,etc.
Sooner than later you have to face the world. Open your curtains and let the light in.

never trust big govt to block those unwanted calls, put an end to it yourself!

Of course not. Political calls are exempted by law.

That said, though, I was under the impression that DNC in general had been gutted by the courts some time ago. Could be wrong about that though..

The mistake too often made is legislators and courts equate freedom of speech with the ability to contact a person by phone, fax, email, etc. We the consumers of these services maintain them FOR OUR CONVENIENCE AND NOT FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THOSE WHO MIGHT WANT TO CONTACT US. That is true even if the callers are politicians, others engaging in free speech or charities. We are paying for this service, directly or indirectly. Therefore we should be able to decide who we want to be able to contact us and who we don't.

If I choose to say politicians should not be able to contact me I am not infringing on politicians ability to speak. I am merely choosing not to listen to them. A government mandated Do Not Call Registry is simply a means to permit me to do so. Now as a government program it should be operated in a content neutral manner, so that I could not bar just messages by one political party or just certain types of charities.

Caller ID is a pale substitute for an effective "DO NOT CONTACT" registry. I'd still need to check who was calling, and quite often those messages I avoid by not answering instead end up clogging my voice mail.

I have it. It actually pops up on my TV screen.

I didnt answer any of these calls, I was just commenting on how aggressive they get 2 days before an election.

Cancel your Verizon service. Switch over to Vonage. Vonage doesn't whore their customers out by sharing their phone numbers, etc. 7+ years of blissful peace for me. No phone calls at home that are not welcomed.

As a registered voter you are a customer of the political interests.

All the Cuccinnelli calls seem to be voiced by a 20 year old bimbo (no offense to bimbos).

I don't get any robo-calls for the election, but I get a shit ton of the "We are going to be in you area. Do you have any unused clothes, pots,etc..." calls. that and creditors looking for people that gave them the phone number I have or they had it before me.

Of course, one creditor keeps calling for someone with my first name and of course I answer "Speaking!" The start going into stuff and I say, sorry, you must have the wrong person and they ask if my "last name is xxxxx?" Nope sorry, not me. So they call 3 months later. I pretty much don't answer my phone anymore. I don't give it out so any call can be ignored.
