Rumor has it Goodell will and the owners will force Shadeed khan (Jags owner) to move the team out of there if they go 0-16

If Jacksonville loses their team perhaps they can come to Virginia and put Dan Snyder out of bidness. Richmond would never get it (too small).

But, what should we name the team and what would the mascot be?
What defines Northern Virginia?

The NoVa Suns, Stars, etc.

Perhaps Cary could be the owner.

That rumor also states that Goodell is hoping they wont go 0-16.

He'd rather see the Bills fill the empty slot in LA.

LA made a move for the Vikings a few years ago, they'd probably end up there. Three in NFL teams in FL is too many anyway. And it's sorta ridiculous that LA's got two bball, baseball, and hockey teams but no NFL squad.

Couldn't agree more. When Bill Parcell's bought the Tampa Giants I knew we were headed for disaster. Can you believe Michael Jordan hit two pop flies last night?

never saw that last bunt coming...

LA has one Baseball team and one hockey team. Anaheim is not LA and the Angels name is atrocious trying to put that in there. The Ducks dont try and go that thankfully.

The Ducks don't try?

They've been in business for 20 years and have a Stanley Cup. There's a "professional" hockey team in this town that's been in business 40 years...and ZERO Cups.

Caps look like a first round exit this year.

Wouldn't surprise if this happens.

Goodell would probably move the team to London since the owner also owns Fulham FC.

They're running out of cities to blackmail. LA may get the Chargers. It probably wouldn't last very long like the Raiders.

Way to go out on a limb with that prediction.

Won't happen. The travel time and time zone change would screw up the schedule too much. Imagine a London team playing Sunday night game at home and then playing on the road in Seattle on Thursday night.

Same metro area. No different than a place like Reston getting pro hockey and baseball teams. They'd be sharing the same metropolitan area as the Caps and Nats.

Reston wouldnt be DC either. Thats like calling Oakland and SF the same place. The Nats and Os compete for some of the same market but by no means is either city hosting two teams.

I think 20 years is long enough for the city of Washington to be without professional football...hopefully we'll get a team someday, too...

They just keep saying LA because it is a market that can support two teams when teams like Jax can barely fill a stadium. Granted part of that is because theyre awful but the NFL is also looking at TV deals. In places like LA the TV money is much bigger. Same reason MLB wants the Rays stadium out of St Pete and into Tampa
