Being good is a hinderance sometimes. Good people with moral rules have to compete with people who have none. You can find yourself at a disadvantage if that moral lacking person is also intelligent. It is the old bully in the playground story. I've known alot of bullies who actually feel pretty good about themselves, which flies in the face of theory of bullies with low self image. And we all know so called "bad people" who made out well in life. it is hard to figure, but that's the way it is.

Well, this is how i look at it. Since i moved to the States 10yrs ago, it dawned on me that you can't really get ahead unless you are brutal/cheater/and just plain psycho. The culture i was raised in valued modesty, politeness, and respect. I realized that for one to get ahead in this country and in their profession they couldn't show any of those things. Unfortunately, those traits are considered weakness and people would abuse it. But i also believe in the end you would get out what you put in, if you were raised to be honest/polite/and just decent human being, u would see it at the end. The ones that get ahead due to taking advantage of others, would get theirs someday. It might be tempting to just say "fuck it all" and goto the dark side, but remember, what you would get from being evil is only temporary.
