So psychiatrists and physiologists are now redefining adults as those 25 and older. Until then, you are a child or an adolescent. This being the case, we need to change the voting age in the country to 25. Only adults should vote. The only exception should be if you are serving in the US Armed Forces. That is all.....

Seriously though, the notion that something magical happens around 25 is bunk. The brain continues to develop long after 25. As for maturation, there are plenty of 18 year olds out there who are far more mature than many older people will ever become, and there are a number of people who are actually more mature at 18 than they are later in life.

Our military is voluntary. If you want to join at 18, go for it. And then you should have the right to vote. Aside from an all-out war against the muslims or a complete government take-over of our society, I don't see a draft ever coming 'round again.
I feel the same way about illegals. If they join up and serve, they should get automatic citizenship attached to their honorable discharge. Starship Troopers said it way back in 1997.

Liberals would lose their low information voter base if they passed that law.
Republicans are far more educated as a party than Liberals. Liberals have a flight advantage in post grade degrees since most conservatives are working at that point and have no interest in academia, but theres a huge advantage for republicans when it come to graduating high school.
So let them do that itd only be the death of their party. Sure theyd have all the academics voting but they can say good by to any election they wouldnt have won by at least 20 percentage points

We will never have a draft again. Weapons technology has made a draft obsolete not to mention the fact that only about 1 out of every 4 drafted soldiers were any good in Nam. The days of storming Normandy are over though.
Since females dont have to register anyway its a non issue for them. For males its a non starter for anyone in college who would get a deferment unless they chose not too and anyone disables or overweight who would be ineligible anyway.
But again it wont happen again unless we lose the last 40 years of technology somehow.
