This for the most part is all about one company. Beretta. Plain and simple. Beretta made it clear they would consider leaving the state of Maryland if they passed tougher gun laws then they already had. Maryland told Beretta to fuck off and passed the new gun laws. Beretta is getting ready to release a new "assault" rifle for civilian sales that they have invested heavily in that they now can not sell where they are made. Unfortunately, Beretta just spent a shit load of capital expanding here in Maryland and most likely will not leave the state.
Same thing going on in CT, MA, and NY. Several firearm companies are looking at leaving the states where they have been forever due to them passing new extreme gun laws.
