I know nothing about video games but I was just given an Xbox from a friend with a handful of games, only a couple of which I would find entertaining. If I wanted to buy more, does it matter if they say Xbox 360 as opposed to just xbox - i.e. are these two systems compatible??

Yes, as long as you use the Colecovision Retardex adapter.

This has to be a troll post. It HAS to be.

But I'll take the bait....you cannot play 360 games on the xbox, but you can play most xbox games on the 360.

The plus side for you now entering the gaming year of 2002 is that you can find a lot of fun games butt cheap at Gamestop. I'm talking 99 cents to $3. I don't think retail stores even sell xbox games anymore.

Ever notice that sometimes there will be a post by some unregistered poster very shortly after eesh or I post?

I bet you that eesh and I are responsible for those posts too...

No, Harry Tuttle is a legitimate member of the community whereas Prada Denim eesh is just a troll that pretends to be a contributing poster. He is a troll, a stalker, and a fraud wrapped into one person.

Would you rather be associated with eesh's troll pack? You either support the regulars that post here or you are against them. There is no middle road.

Lol. So far it looks like $75 for a repair send-in, with a Warranty added onto that, or, I can just buy a new drive for that price, and put it in myself. Hopefully someone at the store can hook me up with a drive for less money. Wtf though, I still have the original Atari, and the last time I used it, it worked like a charm. I have this thing for only three years though, and I babied the hell out of it, yet it broke. I didn't even get a chance to put the controller through the flat screen yet while playing football.

I still have a Sega Saturn that works like it is new. The stuff made by Atari and Sega was so much better built than the new crap by Microsoft and Nintendo.

did you spill orange juice on it? orange juice seems to be a killer for electronics.

Ok, fine. I didn't beat that game in 2 seconds. I didn't even get past the first level because I've never played that game. I've never even heard of that game. I don't play video games. I'm not cool. Thanks, Harry.

The one exception is Animal Crossing. I did have a beautiful house and a lovely garden.... until, my daughters, tired of seeing me playing their game, ripped up my tulips and threw trash all over the place. I was actually rather angry with them for doing that, but if I recall correctly, my response might have been slightly immature. Maybe I threw their newly folded laundry on the floor and said something like.. how does that feel?

harvest moon was the cats meow. it taught me many life lessons, dont work all night or you will get sick, chickens do not like rain, you need a sledge hammer to bust rocks, women dont like it when you hand them a weed from the garden, if you want to get a cow pregnant you feed it a huge blue ball, and if an earthquake happens and little gnomes pop out of a tree stump it was time to stop playing.

i always had a crush on the red headed bartender. but i could never get passed second base, that prude bitch.

I also liked Secret of Mana.

I think I might have played this one. It's coming back to me.

I think I was the bartender and... oh, yeah... those young Tuttles. They were incorrigible so I stuck them in foster care. I wonder how they're doing today.
