I have always been a huge Gatorade fan. One of my all time favorites was called Fierce Lime. Of course, they discontinued it a while ago.


Just the other day, I was very thirsty. I went to the local grocery store and I was in a hury. I saw a light green Gatorade and I saw the word Lime. I know I'm not the smartest guy in the world and probably should have purchased Hooked on Phonics 20 years ago. I bought this Gatorade without reading the full title of the flavor. I opened this Gatorade and took a drink. It was the worst Gatorade I have ever had and I almost ralphed.

It wasn't just Lime Gatorade. It was Lime/Cucumber flavor. Who comes up with this shit? It was deplorable.

I've heard of Jones Soda being off the wall, but come on Gatorade!!

That crap is horrible. Bring back the Fierce Lime.

just a quick announcement folks, there's been word of some bad gatorade going around. please, do not drink the green gatorade. have a groovy time and i repeat, avoid the green gatorade. thank you.

Stick with Orange and Lemonade.

While I like the change of taste that Gatorade has over water, I've never understood their bullshit claims of "hydrates you faster than water"...

Make sure you rinse your mouth out after a gatorade session. That crap has so much sugar in it, it'll rot your teeth.

SOunds like a good flavor, cucumbers are sweet like melons.

Gatorade is loaded with sugar and is a garbage drink. If you are super physically active, the high sugar content is good for recovery if severely dehydrated.


If you are fatso who is just swilling it on the couch, expect to get fatter.

Yeah but it's great for hangovers.

Fierce Grape tastes good but it turns your poop bright green for a day. Unsettling.

Gatorade has very little nutritional value. It's sugar water with "electrolytes." You can get a better drink by adding a pinch of salt to some bottled water.

My mistake

I talked to a buddy of mine who is a manager for WalGreens on the west coast. They had a sale on Gatorade last week. Walgreens put in a bunch of the Cucumber flavors with the Lemon Lime, Orange, and some other popular flavors. He got many complaints from his customers about the horrible Cucumber/Lime flavor.

Cucumber lime? That sounds fucking awful. Is someone asleep at the wheel over at Pepsi Co?

I drink A LOT of gatorade (hydration man) and I stick to blue, orange, or original yellow. I kind of like the ruby red one too, but it stains your shirt.

I like the low-cal G2 Fruit punch. Tastes like Jello. The regular grape turns your shit green though.

I prefer tap water with a couple of ice cubes.

I prefer an evap-suit...

Last time I drank it, I had a bad flu. It seems to work when fatigue and dehydration are holding you back from recovering from a illness.

I use to work for a beer distribution company on the west coast. We delivered Coors beer and plenty of non alcoholic beverages. Snapple use to be huge in the mid 1990's for the company. Snapple at one time had so many flavors. A huge amount of teas and lemonade flavors. But I will never forget the worst flavor that ever came out was Cantaloupe Snapple. I knew this flavor was going to be discontinued. I have to say the Lime/Cucumber flavored Gatorade is right up there with the Cantaloupe Snapple.

Agreed

MIO is so much less expensive than gatorade and is just as good.

Gatorade has too much sugar. all that excercising you did just got wiped out by drinking up that surgar.


JUST DRINK WATER OR A PROTEIN SHAKE!

Gatorade can be a life saver.. I was in my hotel room in Europe and had been walking the entire day. I started feeling really out of it. I had some Gatorade powder and mixed it really concentrated with water from the bathroom sink. Brought me right back. Would if been embarrasung having to call an ambulance of something.

I just saw an advertisement for lime/cucumber flavored Rockstar. This is pathetic. On sale very soon at your local dollar store, because this flavor will be discontinued.
