So after being unemployed after being layoff from my last job at the pet store in 2011 I found a job. I went to victor today and they hired me. I have training today from 10am-4pm. Anyone know whats going to happen next? They said I don't need to sells things just answers phone calls. Did anyone ever work for victor or know someone that does that can help me and tell me what should I expert for this job?

That's Victor Frankenstein, he's an infamous scientist known for creating fugly monsters from mismatched body parts. Generally not well received by superstitious villagers.

In 1996, The Washington Post reported that of "940 Vector recruits surveyed, nearly half either earned no money or actually lost money through working with the company."

You will be a knife seller.

Victor = VECTOR (Marketing) = Cutco

Yes, you will sell knives, you have to buy a sample set. The company is as crooked as they come.

Run away. Get another job. Even McDonald's would be better than this place.

Did Vector last summer. It was horrible. During the two day training they were like 400 high school graduates and college students who got "hired" in the "interview". I had a really hard time getting neighbors who I have good relations with to buy the knives. Yes they are great products but they are fucking expensive. People much rather buy cheap ass knives, then buy new cheap ass knives again after 10 years. In the end I made money only because I was lucky to get a few appointments that were approved. However it was still not worth it, not a real job, it is commissions not hourly. Your better off working at a fast food or retail industry.

By August there were only 20 people left including me. Everyone else had trouble selling them, realized it was a scam, and quit. I only stayed because I was still lucky enough to get a few more appointments and make some pocket change. The awareness of Vector's cheap methods such as encouraging trainees to first sell them to family members is thier way of getting quick profits and giving false hope to kids needs to spread. The office in Fairfax City near Daniels Run Elementary needs to be shut down.
